Railway driver stabbed to death, 2 others injured in robbery bid

New Delhi, Aug 13 (UNI) A Railway driver was stabbed to death and two others were injured in a robbery attempt by two strangers in Tughlaqabad area of south district.

According to the Police the incident took place at Tughlaqabad railway station under Sangam Vihar police station last night at around 2130 hrs.

Vishram, a driver with the Railways, was attacked along with his two companions by two unidentified men near the exit point of the platform after they refused to hand over their money, while they were on their way home from duty.

All the three were immediately rushed to the nearby Batra Hospital where Vishram succumbed to his injuries. The other two are recuperating in the hospital and their condition is said to be stable.

A hunt to nab the assailants has been launched though no arrests made so far, police added.
