No adverse impact of LPG pipeline on environment, says GAIL
Kakinada, Andhra Pradesh, Aug 13 (UNI) GAIL General Manager S Narayanan today said the LPG pipeline, under construction from Visakhapatnam to Secunderabad, would have no adverse impact on the environment.
Giving a power point presentation at the Collectorate here, he said there would be no environmental problems as closed system was being adopted while laying the pipeline.
Proper safety measures were being taken while laying the line, he claimed.
The gas line has passed through 41 villages in the East Godavari District and construction of a IP station at Rajahmundry formed part of the project.
East Godavari District Collector Gopalakrishna Dwivedi suggested installation of signboards at various places, indicating the presence of the gas pipeline, as a precautionary measure.
