Mumbai, Aug 13 (UNI) Maharashtra Chief Minister Vilasrao Deshmukh has directed the Board of Directors of CIDCO to immediately call a meeting regarding pending problems of 'Gaothans' (lands occupied by original inhabitants) extending into jurisdiction of CIDCO, project affected people, stone crushers, bricks manufacturers, and others, decide a specific policy and send an approved resolution immediately to the Government.
Chief Minister was speaking yesterday during a meeting of the locals regarding their various demands, who met him under the chairmanship of Guardian Minister of Raigad Sunil Tatkare and others.
Since 1999 'Gaothans' are extended continuously on the CIDCO land. In this regard it should be seen that how much land is regularly owned by the land owners and how much FSI will be regularised by paying penalty on occupied unauthorised land, for this floating FSI, will be considered, the Chief Minister said.
In CIDCO's jurisdiction, plots should be reserved for women industrial co-operatives and there is need to construct vegetable and fish market, the Chief Minister said.
''Schools presently in the CIDCO jurisdiction and those who have applied newly should be considered independently. A proposal for special Court should be sent to the Law and Judiciary Department to decide heir rights in CIDCO jurisdiction,''the Chief Minister said.
In future due to SEZs in the Navi Mumbai, there will be large employment opportunities available. Special training is required for these works and SNDT college is ready to impart the training needed, so the Government will consider it, the Chief Minister said.
