Patna, Aug 13 (UNI) Continuing their nationwide tirade against the withdrawal of land donated to Shri Amarnath Shrine Board (SASB), the BJP today demanded immediate removal of the Jammu and Kashmir Governor N N Vohra.

Thousands of party workers, led by in-charge of political affairs in Bihar, Kalraj Mishra, MP Ravi Shankar Prasad, state BJP president Radha Mohan Singh, ministers and several MLAs took out a 'Raj Bhavan March' and courted arrest.

Soon after the procession arrived near the R Block, party leaders and workers were prevented from moving towards Raj Bhavan and were detained.

Earlier, addressing a meeting Mr Mishra said Mr Vohra had 'betrayed' the SASB and 'hurt' the sentiments of Hindus by taking back the land.

''The Hindus are in minority in J and K and the state and the union government should take care of their sentiments,'' he opined.

Appreciating the expenditure of Rs 348 crore for Haj, he advocated similar facilities for the Amarnath pilgrims.

''The Congress' attempt has shattered communal harmony in Jammu and Kashmir,'' he said and alleged that the land allocated to the SASB was withdrawn under pressure from divisive forces.
