Mumbai, Aug 12 (UNI) Vancouver Film School (VFS), Canada's premier post-secondary entertainment arts institution, has opened four new international offices, including one in Mumbai, and is offering scholarships for all 13 of its full-time programs as a promotional offer.
The scholarships range from CDN $ 3,000 to $ 15,000 and can be applied to start dates in January, March, May, and June 2009. VFS programs have multiple start dates throughout the year and vary by program, the release issued by VFS said here today.
The Spring 2009 Scholarships - and the opening of the four VFS offices in India, Mexico, Taiwan, and Korea - are aimed at reaching out to a large pool of aspiring filmmakers, animators, artists, and designers in those regions and giving them a once-in-a-lifetime chance to study at VFS. Each international office is staffed by a dedicated Admissions Advisor, who is familiar with the region and able to help students make the transition to VFS, the release said.
''We're very excited about the opportunity to extend these scholarships to aspiring, talented students in India,'' Dorothy Mathias, the VFS Admissions Advisor in India, said.
The 13 entertainment arts programs at VFS, all of which span one year or less, include Animation and Visual Effects, Digital Design, Film Production, Game Design and Sound Design for Visual Media, the release added.
