Train services in south Bihar disrupted
Dehri-On-Sone, Aug 12 (UNI) Train services under East Central Railways' Gaya-Dehri on Sone division were disrupted for several hours following agitation and blockade by local people at Pali railway crossing, near here, today.
ECR sources informed that as a result of the blockade to press for the demand for an overbridge by the local people, several long distance mail and express trains, including the Dn Purusottam Express, Up Mahabodhi Express, Dn Inter-city Express, and several passenger trains were detained at several stations en route causing delay for more than three hours on an average.
Later following the intervention of senior railway and district officials, the blackade was lifted and normal services resumed in the afternoon.
The blockade was to press for the demand for the speedy construction of a railway overbridge at Pali, the sources added.
