Rane is not lion of Konkan: Raut
Mumbai, Aug 12 (UNI) Revenue Minister Narayan Rane is not a lion of Konkan area as he claims, Rajya Sabha member and editor of Maharashtra Times daily Bharat Kumar Raut said today.
Speaking at a meeting, in which members of Shiv Sena, Agri Sena and the Kunbhi Sena came together, Mr Raut without naming Mr Rane said ''Konkanacha Raja'' (King of Konkan) as the latter is called in his hometown is not a king, as a king would not go to Delhi and knock on the doors of the Congress president.
''Mr Rane has been making false claims of being a king and I feel bad, as I belong to the same area,'' Mr Raut said.
The Revenue minister was further criticised by Agri Sena chief Rajaram Salvi, who alleged that Mr Rane's condition is worse than a dog as he has nowhere to go and Shiv Sena will be affected with rabies if Rane returns to the Sena.
''Rane was given the chance to make a lot of money, hence the betrayal,'' he said.
