Bhubaneswar, Aug 12 (UNI) Hundreds of BJP activists today courted arrest in front of the Raj Bhavan, protesting the revocation of order allotting 100 acre of land to Amarnath Shrine Board by the Congress-led government in Jammu and Kashmir.

Addressing a rally, the leaders criticised the Jammu and Kashmir government for surrendering before the separatist forces. They said even the Muslims of the Jammu had favoured the allotment of land in favour of Amarnath Shrine Board.

The BJP leaders alleged that the Jammu and Kashmir government revoked the land allotment order under the pressure of separatist forces, ignoring the High Court order and the unanimous resolution of the state Assembly apprehending loss of minority votes.

They said the decision had hurt the sentiments of 100 crore Hindus across the country and hit secularism, one of the basic principles of the Constitution, at its root.

The leaders threatened to continue the agitation till the government allotted 100 acre land to the Amarnath Shrine Board.

Among others, BJP state unit president Suresh Pujari, secretary Nayan Kishore Mohanty, vice-president Asit Bose, organising secretary Panchanan Rout, Higher Education Minister Samir Dey and state Mahila Morcha president Bijay Laxmi Mishra participated in the rally.
