Amarnath yatra suspended again from Jammu
Jammu, Aug 12: The Amarnath yatra was suspended on the consecutive second day due to inclement weather in south Kashmir.
''No batch was sent from Jammu to the Amarnath cave shrine after the information of bad weather condition was received from IGP Kashmir,'' police control room sources told the sources.
Yatra was suspended after the weather turned harsh in Pahalgam and Baltal areas en route Amarnath shirne.
Sources said over 1,000 pilgrims are staying in Yatri Bhawan here for their onward journey to the shrine.
Two-month-long Amarnath Yatra, which commenced on June 17, will conclude on August 16. ''Last batch of the pilgrims will leave from here on August 14,'' the source said.
