Somnath congratulates Bindra for gold medal at Olympics

New Delhi, Aug 11 (UNI) Lok Sabha Speaker Somnath Chatterjee today congratulated ace Indian shooter Abhinav Bindra, who won the gold medal for India at the Beijing Olympics in the Men's 10m Air Rifle shooting competition.

Bindra aggregated a total of 700.5 which included 596 points in the qualifying round and 104.5 points in the final round to edge past Athens Olympics' gold medallist Zhu Qinan (699.7) of China who won the silver.
