''My dream before leaving the world fulfilled'' : Milkha

Chandigarh, Aug 11 (UNI) An elated and excited 'flying Sikh' Milkha Singh today congratulated ace shooter Abhinav Bindra for striking gold in the men's 10-metre air rifle at the Beijing Olympics and said he has done the country proud.

''It is a very big thing'' he said while talking to UNI over phone from Delhi. ''Finishing on top with a creditable 700.5 in his event, it is a very big achievement by an Indian in shooting.'' The father of ace Indian golfer Jeev Milkha Singh said, ''the Chandigarh based Indian shooter Bindra has fulfilled my dream by winning gold medal in Olympics.'' ''My dream was that India should win the first position in Olympics in an individual event before I leave this world,'' he added,''I heartly congratulate Abhinav Bindra for his outstanding performance at the Beijing Olympics.'' Milkha said,''parents of Abhinav Bindra deserve full credit for their son touching the dizzy heights in the Beijing Olympics.'' He said Abhinav's coach Col J S Dhillon needs full praise for initiating him into shooting at the Patiali Ki Rao Ranges in Sector 25.
