EC notifies revision of electoral rolls for Gagret
Shimla, Aug 11 (UNI) State Election Commission has notified the programme for special revision of electoral rolls for the conduct of by-election to Ward No. 6 of Nagar Panchayat Gagret of Una District with January as qualifying date for inclusion of name of eligible electors.
Stating this here today State Election Commissioner S Bhatacharaya said that draft electoral rolls would be published by August 18 and claims and objections could be filed between August 19 to 28, which would be decided between August 29 to September 4.
She further said that appeals could be filed within three days from the order passed by the Revising Authority, which would be decided within a week from the date of order appealed against.
Electoral rolls would be finally published by September 16, she added.
