Delhi Cab congratulates Abhinav Bindra on winning Gold in Beijing

New Delhi, Aug 11 (UNI) Delhi Cabinet today congratulated ace shooter Abhinav Bindra for winning a gold at the 29th Olympic Games being held at Beijing.

At meeting of the Cabinet, chaired by Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit, Ms Dikshit said the Delhi Cabinet has expressed its immense pleasure and joy over the spectacular performance of Abhinav Bindra, who has brought laurels to the country by winning a gold medal in 29th Olympics at Beijing.

''The entire country is proud of Abhinav, who has won a gold medal in an individual event for the country after 108 years of inception of the modern Olympics. The Cabinet appreciates the hard work and commitment of Abhinav Bindra, which has brought this immemorable feat for the country,'' Ms Dikshit said in her congraturlatory message.

Ace shooter Bindra clinched the gold medal in the men's 10-metre air rifle event at the Beijing Olympics.
