Srinagar, Aug 11 (UNI) An indefinite curfew was imposed in Srinagar and adjoining areas this afternoon following widespread violence that left three people, including senior Hurriyat Conference (HC) leader Sheikh Abdul Aziz, dead and more than 150 others wounded.
Official sources told UNI curfew had been imposed in the entire city this afternoon.
This decision was taken after widespread violence and demonstrations in different parts of the valley today following the procession to Muzaffarabad, PoK, was stopped from moving further.
Official sources said curfew would be imposed in other districts and tehsil headquarters as a precautionary measure.
Reports of massive protests and clashes between processionists and security forces were being received from different parts of the valley.
