Kollam, Aug 10(UNI) The Three Afghan nationals, who were taken into custody by police from a lodge at Kundara, near here, on August seven will be released tomorrow.
The foreigners were interrogated by RAW officials who found no evidence about their involvement in terrorist activities or any connection with terrorist outfits, police sources told UNI.
The formalities and interrogation was over and they will be freed tomorrow after an official concurrence received from the RAW officials, the official added.
Earlier, Intelligence Bureau(IB) officials found their travel document authentic.
The foreigners, identified as Mehaboob Khan, Neek Mohammed and Mukesh Kumar, were arrested under suspicious circumstances.
On interrogation, it was revealed that they landed here on August five to concentrate on cashew business.
In the wake of recent bomb blasts at Bangalore and Ahmedabad, the appearance of the Afghan nationals in the State, forced the police officials to keep a vigil and initiate measures to ensure the authenticity of their visit.
