Showcause notices to 11 housing engineers in AP Dist

Kakinada, Andhra Pradesh, Aug 10 (UNI) East Godavari Collector Gopalakrishna Dwivedi today expressed his displeasure over the functioning of housing engineers and asked the district manager, housing to serve show cause notices on ten Assistant Enginers and one Deputy executive engineer for their failure in achieving the targeted progress in construction of Indiramma houses.

Reviewing the progress of the implementation of housing programmes in the district at a meeting, Mr Dwivedi said the work progress was very poor in ten mandals including Thallarevu, Karapa, Yelesweram,Kotananduru, Kirlampudi, I.Polavaram, Sakhinetipalli, Rajavommangi and Addateegala.

Pulling up the engineers concerned for lagging behind in achieving the prescribed targets in housing, he asked the District Manager to immediately issue show cause notices to all of them and also to the Deputy Executive Engineer, Rampachodavaram .

If they failed to show the progress within a week, the collector warned they would be placed under suspension.
