Sadhvi murdered, suspect absconding
Mumbai, Aug 10 (UNI) A 45-year-old Sadhvi was allegedly murdered at Kandivali in the western suburbs of the city today.
She was found dead by inmates of the Anandvan Ashram this afternoon. Police said she was apparently attacked with a sharp object.
According to officials from Kandivali police station, Sadhvi Chitralekha and Sadhu Pradyum Das, who is the prime suspect of the murder, along with with other priests were living at Anandvan Ashram in Kandivali and were the caretakers of a temple.
According to other inmates of the ashram, the victim and the suspect used to fight over the money collected in the temple, which ended up in scuffles on many occasions, the officials said.
Police is on a lookout for Das, who is absconding.
