Nitish govt failed to protect interest of business community: LJP
Patna, Aug 10 (UNI) The LJP today alleged that the Nitish Kumar government had virtually done nothing to protect the interest of the business community in the state.
Addressing a meeting of the party here, its state president Pawan Jaiswal said the Nitish Kumar government had not taken any step to repeal the section seven of the essential commodities act as some officers often used it to harass the businessmen.
''The state government collects various taxes from the business community but it does not bother to provide facilities to them in running their works smoothly,'' he said adding despite tall claims of the NDA government, law and order situation had also deteriorated bringing agonies for the business community.
Mr Jaiswal said his party would launch special drive to encourage the business community to join the LJP throughout the state from August 30. During the drive, party leaders would meet the businessmen to extend invitation for joining the organisation, he added.
