Mysore, Aug 10: In a bid to reach out to the world and make the famous Dasara festivities truly international, Mysore District administration will introduce Dasara wesbsites in 20 languages this year.
District administration sources told the sources that the official website ''www.mysoredasara-com'' would be avilable in 20 languages, The selected languages were Arabic, Bulgarian, Chinese, Danish, Dutch, Finnish, French, German, Greek, Hindi, Italaian, Jpanase, Korean, Norwegian, Polish, Portuguse, Romanian, Russian, Spanish and Swedish, the sources said.
The government had already sanctioned Rs 10 crore for the Dasara celebration this year, the sources added.
Mr Sanjay, who is handling the website, said the cultural programmes would be uploaded and updated in a few days.
Last year, the websites were in Beta version, now it would be avilable in full version, he added.
A speciality of this year's webiste would be the online sales of gold cards and other entry tickets through credit card system.
The other user-frinedly features of the website would include links to places of tourist intrest in and around Mysore, updated train and bus timings, providing information on the specialities of a few handicrafts and artifacts of the region.
