Beijing, Aug 10 (UNI) Devender Kumar Khandwal and Manjeet Singh failed to make an impact at the world stage as the Indian duo finished at the bottom in the second heat of the men's lightweight double sculls in rowing at the Beijing Olympic Games here today.

The Indian duo finished fifth and clocked 6:37.13, which was nearly 21 seconds late to the eventual winners Marcello Miani and Elia Luini of Italy, who timed 6:16.22.
