Karnataka Govt to release funds for slush sports: Minister

Madikeri, Aug 10: Minister for Youth Services and Sports Goolihatti Shekar said the government would release funds for the slush sports being held at Madikeri.

Inaugurating the event here, he said only a few districts in the state were familiar with the slush sports and there was a need to popularise it.

The event was jointly organised by the Youth Services, Youth Hostels Association and Nehru Yuvaka Kendra.

Later, the minister told newspersons that the government was ready to build well equipped stadiums in all the three taluks of Kodagu.

He said the department would open multi gym in all the taluk centres in the state.
