Puducherry, Aug 10 (UNI) State DMK convenor of Puducherry unit and former Chief Minister R V Janakiraman today charged that the territorial administration had fallen into a ''coma stage''.

Inagurating the DMK Private Bus Workers Union here, he said schemes announced for the Union Territory were pending, depriving people of their rights.

Speaking on the occasion, former DMK Rajya Sabha member C P Thirunavukkarasu said due to '' tussle'' between the Chief Minister and the other ministers, the Congress Party was getting weaker in the Union Territory and rumours were rife that PMC leader P Kannan and Chief Minister N Rangasamy would join hands to form a new party if action was taken against Mr Rangasamy.

In such a case, it would be the end of the Congress in the Union Territory, he said adding that the Lt Governor should intervene to find an amicable settlement to the problem.

DMK youth wing leader and R Siva MLA, alleged that the two MPs from Puducherry were blocking the provision of funds to Puducherry and causing hindrance to its development.

He said whoever became the Chief Minister of the Union Territory, it was the duty of the DMK to support the government as decided by party president M Karunanidhi. However, the workers' problems could be resolved only if the DMK captured power with absolute majority, he added.
