Tanvi to lead Chandigarh in U-17 Nationals
Chandigarh, Aug 9 (UNI) Tanvi Bhargava, who has led India in the AFC Football Festival in Vietnam recently, has been made captain of the Chandigarh team for the Fifth Sub-Junior National Under-17 Women Football Championship, which begins today at Haldwani.
Announcing the 23-member team, including three officials, the Chandigarh Football Association secretary Rakesh Bakshi said that Chandigarh would play their first cluster match against Assam on August 12. Chandigarh's next match will be against West Bengal on August 14.
The team was finalised during the coaching camp held at the Dev Samaj College ground in Sector 45 here.
The other members of the team are Namrata, Pooja, Manpreet, Tanya, Divleen, Devika, Arshjot, Parinaa, Savita, Rachel, Syeba, Neetu, Ksahmita, Shivangi, Ashwin, Sanjana, Pallavi, Adrija and Sachi.
Jaskaran, Surinder Kumar and RK Bhatt will accompany the team as lady manager, coach and manager, respectively.
