Beijing, Aug 9 : Another Indian shooters Samresh Jung failed to qualify for the final round in the men's 10m air pistol event here today. Jung, the Melbourne Commonwealth Games multiple gold medalist, finished 42nd among 48 shooters in the qualifying event with a disappointing 570 points out of 600.

China's Pang Wei qualified first with 586 points.

Jung's exit followed the poor showing of Anjali Bhagwat and Avneet Kaur Sidhu in the Women's 10m air rifle event earlier in the day. Anjali ended 29th with a total of 393 in qualifying while Avneet failed to progress to the next round, finishing at 39th with 389 points out of 400.
