Madonna's Africa Documentary 'I Am Because We Are' to be turned into photo book
Washington, Aug 9 : Popstar Madonna's Africa documentary 'I Am Because We Are', which depicts the plight of Malawian people, is to be turned into a photobook.
The '4 minutes' singer, who recently travelled around her adopted son David Banda's native country wrote, produced and narrated the documentary.
The photobook will comprise of images by award winning photojournalist Kristen Ashburn, excerpts from interviews of Malawian children and a foreword compiled by Madonna herself.
The photobook has been described as a "book of images by award wining Kirsten Ashburn gathered from her own work in Malawi and Africa over the past seven years as well as her specially commissioned photographs for the film", reports Contactmusic.
The book "provides a better look at the lives of eight Malawian children featured in the documentary and also reveals the harsh reality of AIDS endemic throughout Southern Africa."
The income from the photobook will be donated to Madonna's 'Raising Malawi' charity.
