Chandigarh, Aug 9 (UNI) Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda today ordered the special girdawari to assess the crop damage due to recent heavy rains besides house loss survey to appropriately compensate the affected persons.
The Chief Minister also announced compensation amount of Rs two lakh to the dependents of a woman and her son died in the house collapse at Shashtri Nagar, Bhiwani during rains.
The Chief Minister today visited the flood affected areas of the Bhiwani city to inspect the situation. He also had an aerial view of the flood affected areas of Bhiwani and also of its nearby villages.
He assured that the accumulated water would be drained out within next three days from rural as well as urban areas.
Mr Hooda said that officers had been directed to complete the projects for solving the sewerage problem of Bhiwani permanently and for improving the sewerage system of the city.
The Bhiwani-Ghaggar Drain work would be completed in the next six months which would help in speedy drainage of rain water from the Bhiwani city and nearby villages, he said.
He said that additional teams of Health Department would start their work in Bhiwani from tomorrow onwards and people would be provided regular testing and treatment facilities.
Adequate arrangements had been made to prevent the spread of any disease. Directions had also been issued to the Animal Husbandry Department to make necessary arrangements for the prevention of diseases in animals.
The Chief Minister, who held a meeting of the concerned officers to review the arrangements, issued directions to the officers of Irrigation Department to install additional dewatering pumps.
