Ahmedabad, Aug 9 (UNI) With 59 per cent youth getting employment during 2002-2007, Gujarat has topped the list of the states giving employment to the youths.
State Education Minister Ramanlal Vora disclosed this after inaugrating a national seminar on ''National knowledge commission Recommendation and their impact on Bharat'' here today. Mr Vora added that the ''Vibrant Gujarat'' campaign was expected to attract big capital investments in the state, which will generate ample employment opportunities for youths.
He said knowledge and education were vital to strengthen youth power and in this endeavour, public participation and social awareness were the crucial factors.
''Gujarat knowledge society will provide industry oriented training programs to benefit the youth,'' Mr Vora said.
