Five notorius miscreants surrender in Bihar
Bagaha, Aug 9 (UNI) A notorious gangster and his four accomplices today surrendered before the police here vowing to end all criminal activities.
Police said gangster Lalji Oraon, along with his four accomplices, surrendered before the District Superintendent of Police Nishant Kumar Tiwari at a function organised near Ramnagar police station.
They were wanted by the police in connection with several cases, including murder, loot, kidnapping and extortion.
Two double barrel guns, three countrymade guns and several cartridges were also handed over to DSP Tiwari by the miscreants.
Speaking on the occasion, the police superintendent exhorted the criminals to join the mainstream by giving up all criminal activities.
''All the outlawed would be provided financial assistance and facilities under the norms laid down in criminal rehabilitation package of the state government'', he added.
