CBI court orders DNA test of Sarita rape accused
Ambala, Aug 9 (UNI) The special CBI court today directed the Ambala Central Jail Superintendent to produce Sarita rape case accused, Head Constable Balraj and Constable Sheelak Ram, in the civil hospital on August 11 for collection of samples of their blood to conduct DNA test.
Both the policemen were present in the court during the hearing.
Magistrate Dr Abdul Majid fixed August 19 as the next date for hearing of the case.
The two policemen had allegedly raped her when she had gone to the Rohtak Police station where her husband was kept in the lock up in a theft case.
She had later commited suicide in protest against police inaction by consuming poison in the office premises of the Haryana DGP Panchkula.
The case was handed over to the CBI on the Haryana government's order.
