Jabalpur, Aug 8: Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan today said the BJP has started a procedure for selecting candidates for state assembly elections scheduled to take place by year-end.
Talking to reporters at the airport here while en-route from the state capital to Mandla, Mr Chouhan said the party had started preparations for the assembly polls. State BJP President Narendra Singh Tomar could provide more details about selection process.
On problem of power shortage, he said the government was making efforts to provide maximum power supply to people. He was praying that dams store adequate water during rains so that power shortage could be dealt with.
On opposition by villagers to construction of dam at Ateria village in Jabalpur district, he said the government would take no step without taking people into confidence.
