No privatisation of water but suggestions are welcome: Diggikar
Mumbai, Aug 8 (UNI) Additional Municipal commissioner of the Brihanmumbai Municipal corporation (BMC), K Diggikar today said that there will not be privatisation of water supply in the metropolis.
The corporation has invited suggestions for improved water supply from various agencies.
Speaking at a media briefing here today, Mr Diggikar said that according to the 'Sujal Abhiyan', the water supply in the city will be improved with a 24 hours water supply and the services will not be privatised.
''We are only accepting suggestions for a better and improved water supply and ways to prevent water thefts and leakages,'' said Mr Diggikar.
The city and the surrounding areas has received good rainfall and the water level in the lakes have risen considerably, which will lead to uninterrupted water supply to the city, he added.
