IECIAL launches website to reach global players in ECE industry
New Delhi, Aug 8 (UNI) Indian Earthmoving and Construction Industry Association Ltd (IECIAL) today launched its website with a view to reaching the global players in earthmoving and construction equipment (ECE) industry.
Launching the website here, IECIAL Chairman S K Mitra said, ''Most global Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) are expected to strenghten their presence in India. With the website, we aim at interacting with global players in ECE segment.'' Speaking on the occasion, Ministry of Heavy Industries and Public Enterprises Secretary S N Dash said, ''India is poised for the real growth scenario. The launch is a positive move for the ECE Industry which is growing at over 40 per cent annually.'' Between 2004 and 2007, the ECE industry has generated 2.3 billion dollar revenue and is hopeful of touching the mark of 12-13 billion dollar by 2015, he added.
''India is self-reliant in construction of earthmoving equipment with wide capacity base and the government is spending huge sums for developing infrastructure,'' Mr Dash said.
IECIAL members list include major players like Ashok Leyland Ltd, BEML, Larsen and Toubro Ltd (L&T), Telco and Voltas.
