Now fishermen might get added to the fortune 500 list as they try to make money through dead bodies. Fishermen in Uganda have found an easier way of making money through dead bodies. They are using dead bodies as bait and catching plenty of fishes in Lake Victoria. They also hide bodies and when their relatives claim for the body lost under water, they demand ransom from their relatives. They normally demand about Shs50,000 to do a search in the water per day.
The Jinja Central Police Station records show that this year, seven bodies have been recovered from water bodies around the region and fishermen are being accused of hiding the bodies in the water. A police official said, “We have heard allegations that the fishermen usually tether the bodies to rocks and use them to attract fish for their catch. They also reportedly use the bodies to get ransom from relatives of the deceased when they claim to be looking for it under the water for days."
One of the fisherman admits that sometime back in 2006, there was a body in his fishing area and plenty of fishes around it. This gave us an idea of using dead bodies to catch fishes".
It is a nomenclature that businessmen makemoney, but its now the fishermen's turn.
