Court directs Sony TV to delect objectionable scene of OSO
Mumbai, Aug 8 (UNI) Acting on a petition filed by yesteryear actor-filmmaker Manoj Kumar, a local court today directed Sony Entertainment Channel to delete a scene from the film 'Om Shanti Om' that he found objectionable, before it is aired on the channel on August 10.
The Additional Session Court Judge R T Mahajan delivered the order, asked the channel to ''either delete the portion or not to telecast the film.'' Mr Kumar had filed a case against Shah Rukh Khan, producer of the film, its director Ms Farah Khan and Sony entertainment channel, seeking deletion of a scene from the film, showing him being insulted.
He stated that the scene had been filmed in such a manner, which directly affects and damages his reputation.
The actor prayed to the court that till the final disposal of the suit, Sony entertainment should be restrained from showing the film.
