Bihar government to amend teacher's appointment rules
Patna, Aug 8 (UNI) The Bihar government is all set to amend the existing rules for appointment of teachers from primary to higher secondary level for appointing teachers in the second phase.
The state Cabinet gave its nod for the amendment in the rules, framed for absorption of the teachers in the schools.
State Cabinet Secretary Girish Shankar said here yesterday that the government had decided to appoint 80,000 primary teachers and 12,000 secondary and higher secondary teachers.
He said there were reports of some irregualrities during the first phase of appointment of school teachers following which the governmenmt decided to amend the rules.
Once the amendment was done, the vacancies would be advertised and the candidates could apply for the post.
He said this time the appointment process was being simplified and made more foolproof to minimise the chances of irregularities.
