Apollo DKV with MakeMyTrip offer domestic travel insurance

Ahmedabad, Aug 8 (UNI) Apollo DKV Insurance Company with MakeMyTrip, one of India's largest travel companies, has launched an unique domestic travel insurance solution, for travellers within the country.

The alliance ensures that travellers have the option of a one-stop solution to take care of their travel. The new product 'Easy Domestic travel' will cover travel-related risks of domestic airline passengers and will come with the added benefits of ''TravelMate'' to take worry out of travel for all customers.

Speaking at the launch, Apollo DKV CMD Chandrasekhar said, ''The company is putting a concerted effort in expanding the category by introducing new and innovative products and easy ways of buying these products, while catering to newer geographies in India.'' Easy Domestic Travel Insurance covers travellers against several travel contingencies like accidental death, emergency medical treatment, trip cancellation, trip curtailment, checked baggage loss, flight delays, trip interruption, Emergency Hotel and Emergency Travel among others for a premium of Rs 111 for all tickets booked online.

The policy is valid for the duration of a round trip cross-sector travel or 30 days from the date of booking, whichever is lesser.
