AP CM hikes monthly honorarium for FA's

Hyderabad, Aug 8 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy today approved the Rural Development department's proposal to increase the monthly honorarium for the Field Assistants (FA) from Rs 1,200 to Rs 2,200, with effect from August, 2008.

Holding a meeting with his cabinet colleagues at the Secretariat here, he said after complete disbursement of pending payments due to the labourers in each district, the government would take a decision on payment hike for other functionaries such as Computer Operators, Technical Assistants and Additional Programme Officers in the district level, an official release said here.

The Rural Development Department officials said in some districts, the verification process for clearing the pending payments by the Project Directors were boycotted by the Additional Programme Officers and the Technical Assistants, demanding payment hike.
