'Wheel Smart Shrimati' Southern edition soon
Jaipur, Aug 7 (UNI) Television viewers from the South can expect a regional language reality show on the lines of Doordarshan's popular Hindi game show 'Wheel Smart Shrimati' (WSS).
The programme sponsors Hindustan Unilever Limited are considering a proposal to produce a similar game show for non-Hindi audience of Southern India, company spokesman Shantnu Vats said here today.
''The proposal has appealed to us and we are willing to come up with such programme for the South, however, no definite plan has so far been chalked out in this regard,'' Mr Vats told reporters.
Meanwhile, the third season of WSS will start on Doordarhsan National from August 13, noted TV personality and programme anchor Anu Kapoor said.
A total of 64 participants, 16 each from East, West, North and Central Zones, have been chosen through online auditions for the third season.
This time, it would have four preliminary zonal rounds, zonal final and finally grand finale, winner of which would get a cash prize of Rs 10 lakh, Mr Kapoor said.
WSS III has also introduced live role of the participants' mother-in-law who would be available in the show as helpline to her, he added.
