Dharamshala, Aug 7 (UNI) Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) today took out a rally in Kangra town in support of agitation in Jammu for the restoration of land to Shri Amarnath Shrine Board.
The protesters, led by Swami Krishen Giri, also held a demonstration outside the residence of the former Pradesh Congress Committee president and Rajya Sabha Member, Viplove Thakur at village Birta in the outskirts of this town.
The protesters were demanding the sacking of Jammu and Kashmir Governor N N Vohra.
They also held a dharna on National Highway 88 and blocked the road.
VHP leader Ravi Shanker announced that on August 13, two hour 'Chakka Jam' would be held at Matour on Pathankot Mandi National Highway.
