Rijiju emphasises on development of sports in Arunachal

Itanagar, Aug 7 (UNI) Lok Sabha MP from Arunachal Pradesh Kiren Rijiju has urged both the state government and Centre to stress on the development of sports in the state to explore the hidden talent.

Speaking at the valedictory function of the Second Abo Tani Cup Soccer Tournament at Naharlagun yesterday, Mr Rijiju said a healthy society is known through the promotion of games and sports.

He further urged the state government to create adequate sports infrastructure to groom the talented sportspersons and facilitate their participation in national and international events.

''Through proper training with well-maintained infrastructure, Arunachal can also make it to the Olympic games and other sporting events,'' he said.
