Hyderabad, Aug 7: P &G India, as part of its Shiksha '08, contributed Rs 3.2 crore to CRY and other initiatives reaching out to over 87,000 plus children in the coming years.

As part of its Corporate Social Responsibility Programme, P &G commits a minimum of Rs one crore to its partner CRY, which will be allocated to projects focused on enabling the child's right to education.

It also asks the consumers to support the marginalised children by purchasing any of its products, as a part of the sales goes to the Shiksha programme, a statement here said.

These funds will be used for creating awareness to build more schools with better infrastructure, provide basic amenities like water, electricity and health, to enrol more children into formal schools and promote retention in schools and build all-round development of the children.
