One more succumbs to rain-related disease, toll at 72
Mumbai, Aug 7 (UNI) A 23-year-old man died of leptospirosis in the metropolis, taking the toll due to rain-related diseases to 72, since the onset of monsoon this year.
According to civic officials, the patient, admitted to civic-run KEM hospital, died last night.
Since the last 24 hours, 225 people have been admitted with fever, 47 with gastroenteritis, three with leptospirosis and 55 with malaria in various civic-run hospitals in the city, officials added.
