Shimla, Aug 7 (UNI) Most parts of Himachal Pradesh today experienced light to moderate rainfall in afternoon, however, in the lower areas the normal life was disrupted due to heavy rainfall.
The people of the town were facing the problem of drinking water, because few pump houses were closed due to silt.
Una with 54.6 mm rainfall recorded highest rainfall in the state. Sundernagar only recieved traces of rainfall, state capital Shimla recorded 30.2 mm, Dharmshala 10.6 mm, Nahan 6.3 mm and Solan 2.2 mm rainfall.
The minimum and maximum temperatures at Shimla was recorded at 16.4 and 21.8 degrees Celsius respectively, while Sundernagar recorded night temperature at 22.7 and day temperature at 30.9 degrees celsius. In Dharmshala the minimum was at 21.7 degrees Celsius and Bhunter recorded maximum at 21.4 and minimum at 33.7 degrees Celsius. Kalpa recorded minimum at 11.4 and maximum at 24.4, while minimum temperatures in Una was 20.6 degrees and Solan 20.5 degrees celsius.
The Met office has forcast rain or thundershower at many places in Himachal Pradesh in next 24 hrs.
