Gujarat to promote agro technology
Gandhinagar, Aug 7 (UNI) The Gujarat Chief minister Narendra Modi has said that the state government is making all efforts to modernise agriculture by promoting agro technology in the state.
Speaking at function in Amirgadh in Banaskantha, Mr Modi said that state government is opening agro-polytechnic colleges in the different areas of the state so that young farmers can get education and they can learn modern technology of agriculture.
This is part of state government's plan to achieve 12 per cent growth rate in coming years. He asked farmers and villagers to send their daughters to schools alongwith their sons.
