Sagar, MP, Aug 7 (UNI) When weather posed a hurdle, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan found refuge in technology and used a cellphone to address a public meeting.
Mr Chouhan was scheduled to take part in a development convention at Damoh district's Tendukheda but his helicopter was forced to land at the nearby Dana airstrip owing to inclement weather.
The Chief Minister pulled out his cellphone and contacted state Industry Minister Jayant Malaiya who was at the convention. As Mr Chouhan began his speech, Mr Malaiya held his cellphone next to the mike. Expressing regret over not being present in person, the Chief Minister announced that a college would be opened at Tendukheda and spoke about his government's development work.
''The Chief Minister later left by helicopter for attending a programme in Tikamgarh district's Jatara,'' said District Collector Hiralal Trivedi.
