Palanpur, Aug 7 (UNI) The administration has started to dedicate developmental works and welfare projects to mark the state level celebrations of the 62nd Independence Day, to be held in Banaskantha District.
State Minister of Tribal Welfare Mangubhai Patel, while dedicating Kanabiyavas Irrigation project-Taleti approach road, Kodaravi Anganwadi building, Khantni Mogari approach road, Cattle Shed Scheme under New Gujarat pattern and Dhrangivas Sarakala road in Danta Taluka today, said that the government decision to hold state level celebrations at other districts than celebrating it in Gandhinagar, is bringing about growth and development in these districts.
He said that the government facilitates tribal students in many ways as it offers them scholarship, text-book, cycle, and expenditure on higher studies and even some of the tribal boys are taking Pilot's training in foriegn countries.
He said that the ambitious Vanbandhu Package, to ameliorate living conditions of the tribal community from Ambaji to Umargam, includes improving educational facility, infrastructure, electricity supply, healthcare, agricultural development, clean drinking water and water harvesting.
Chairman of Narmada Nigam Naranbhai Patel appealed the farmers to adopt drip irrigation methods as it gives higher yield. Gujarat Green Revolution Company is offering subsidy and loan facility to the farmers. He outlined the benefits of Nirogi-Bal Varsh and Irrigation Water distribution to the farmers through cooperative models.
