Budaun, Aug 6: Vikas Yadav, son of politician D P Yadav, who was found guilty in Nitish Katara murder case and was awarded life sentence was produced in a local court regarding another case here today.
District Judge Vedpal fixed the next hearing for August 11.
Vikas was charged with violating Section 144 during the Assembly election 2002 and was summoned in the court for the same.
However, he remained absent and the court issued warrant against him, after which Delhi police today produced him in the court.
Mr Vedpal said as the accused remained absent in the last hearing he will now be charged under Section 188 instead of Section 144.
Section 188 covers a cognizable offence under which no one can paste party flags or any such posters on the government buildings.
Large number of his supporters gathered at the court premises and police had to use mild force to disperse them.
