Soyabean oil to be distributed through PDS in Haryana
Chandigarh, Aug 6 (UNI) The Haryana Government has decided to distribute subsidised refined soyabean oil through Public Distribution System (PDS) network to Below Poverty Line (BPL) and Antyodaya Ann Yojna (AAY) families.
While disclosing this here today, a spokesman of Food and Supplies Department said that the consumer price of refined soyabean oil to PDS network would be about Rs 66 per litre, whereas its market rate ranged between Rs 72 and Rs 78 per litre. Distribution scale ofsoyabean oil would depend upon its availability/allocation, he added.
He said that Nafed had been designated by the Union Government for import of packed soyabean oil and supplying it to Haryana. The subsidy would be limited to Rs.15 per litre, which would be given to Nafed directly by the Union Government.
He said that Nafed would supply subsidised soyabean oil to Confed which would supply it to ration card holders in the state. As much as 100 metric tonnes of soyabean oil had been allocated to Haryana.
