London, Aug.6 : Portuguese striker Cristiano Ronaldo will continue to turn out for Manchester United, the club's coach Alex Ferguson has insisted.
"He is staying with us. He is a Manchester United player. He is going to be playing here next season. Believe me, it is all over," The Sun quoted Ferguson, as saying.
According to the tabloid, Manchester United bosses have told Ronaldo, 23, that they want him back by next Monday at the very latest.
"Cristiano was convinced he would be able to convince United to sell him - but he now realises that is not going to happen. He's heard what Ferguson said and he knows he'll be there for the next year at least. He's feeling really low about it - he had his heart set on a move," a source close to the player, was quoted, as saying.
Perhaps the key factor for keeping Ron a Red was he could not bear the thought of missing out all those points (over 400) in SunSport's one million pound Dream Team!
