Over 1 lakh farmers benefited under Debt Waiver Scheme

Shimla, Aug 6 (UNI) Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Prem Kumar Dhumal today said that about 1.30 lakh farmers had been benefited under the Agriculture Debt Waiver Scheme in the state.

The Chief Minister who reviewed the meeting of cooperative department here today said that Rs 226 crore loan amount had been waived off in the state.

He said that Himachal Pradesh State Cooperative Bank, Agriculture and Rural Development Bank, Kangra Central Cooperative Bank, Kangra Primary Agriculture Rural Bank and Jogindra Central Bank had waived off the loan of about 1.30 farmers in state.
